BSC Spring Classes 2024

We offer classes designed to grow your faith and develop your intellect. If you take at least 18 credits at the Biblical Studies Center, you will earn a Certificate of Biblical Studies. All our classes are accredited through Oklahoma Christian University. We welcome anyone to take our courses. They’re beneficial for college students, pastors, church staff, and anyone else who is looking to learn more about theology, culture, the Bible, and the church.

Untying the Knots of the Heart

Mondays, 6:00 - 9:00 PM + 2 Saturday Intensives (Starting August 19th)

Do you believe the gospel is true, but sometimes Christianity "doesn't work"? Where is the victory and joy? Does God seem distant, and the gospel. . .abstract? Untying the Knots of the Heart is a discipleship process created to help you develop spiritual, emotional, and relational health.

Interpreting the Bible

Tuesdays, 2:00 - 4:30 PM (Starting August 20th)

Instructor: Thomas Hamilton

Discover the proper way to interpret God’s word and apply it to your life. We will emphasize these three questions:

- What does the Bible actually say?

- What does it really mean?

- How can I apply it to my life & others?

Daniel & Revelation

Tuesdays, 6:00 - 8:30 PM (Starting August 20th)

Instructor: Thomas Hamilton

Come learn how to correctly understand the meaning and interpretation of two of the most puzzling books of the Bible. We will place a special emphasis on  understanding the Jewish prophetic literature known as apocalyptic.

Church History to 1517

Thursdays 2:00 - 4:30 PM (Starting August 22nd)

Instructor: John Knox

This course surveys Christianity from its beginning to the 16th century Reformation. Special emphasis is given to the nature of the early church, later doctrinal controversies, papal development, and outstanding personalities of this period.

Old Testament Wisdom Books

Thursdays 6:00 - 8:30 PM (Starting August 22nd)

Instructor: Kent DelHousaye

This course examines the wisdom and poetic literature of ancient Israel. Books include Job, Psalms, Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, and the Song of Solomon.

Classes are $10/credit for students and young adults, and $50/credit for community members. Students can audit a class for free, and community members can audit a class for $50.
