Five Week Course

This five-week course introduces students to the foundational principles of Intelligent Design (ID) through the lens of Dr. Timothy Gordon’s study guide, Introduction to Intelligent Design. The class explores the scientific, philosophical, and theological implications of design in nature, highlighting the growing challenges to Darwinian evolution. Students will examine key concepts such as specified complexity, irreducible complexity, and the fine-tuning of the universe. Special attention will be given to the cultural and intellectual significance of Intelligent Design as it relates to worldview, faith, and science.

By the end of the course, participants will gain a clear understanding of the claims of ID, its distinction from both creationism and naturalistic evolution, and its relevance in the ongoing dialogue between science and religion.
